INTRODUCING: INVENTORY INTAKE

Unless you want us packing and shipping boxes of Tokyo-flavored air, we most likely need to physically receive your store's stuff (inventory)!

What exactly is 'inventory'? Inventory is anything like products, specialized inserts, etc. that we'll need to Mix (pack) and Mail (ship) for your store.

Whenever we receive inventory, our team manually inspects and scans it into our system, before any warehousing, preparation, or mailing even takes place! That's what 'Inventory Intake' is!

STEP 1. SEND INVENTORY OUR WAY

You can send us inventory yourself, or have it delivered to one of our fulfillment warehouses straight from your supplier / manufacturer / etc.

Since we don't have the miraculous ability to sense when someone sends us inventory (thanks for nothing mom and dad), you'll have to let us know when inventory is on the way. You can do this by filling out the 'Incoming Inventory!' notification form. We'll ask for:

-Shipment info

-What inventory is coming

-Quantities of each item

There's a bit more information to fill out, and if you want to save time you can upload any documents containing the information we need. In total, it takes about 5 to fill out the whole form.

STEP 2. WE DO OUR THING

When your inventory arrives at one of our warehouse, the first thing we do is unload it and check that everything matches the 'Incoming Inventory!' notification. We'll also look your inventory over to make sure there wasn't any damage in transit.

If your inventory isn't already barcoded, this is the part where we put the barcodes on.

Then we scan your inventory into our system, and move everything into BINs, BOXes, or onto PALLETs for Warehousing. See our "Warehousing" page for more information about that.

STEP 1. UNLOADING & CHECKING

Inventory Intake begins as soon as your inventory arrives at one of our warehouses. Our unloads your inventory, and then we manually inspect the contents of each box to make sure that everything is in good shape.

STEP 2. BARCODING

If your inventory isn't already barcoded by your supplier / manufacturer, we make barcodes for each SKU. After that, we scan everything into our system, and you receive a notification that your inventory is ready.

STEP 3. WAREHOUSING

Finally, we move your inventory into various Warehousing storage units, depending on the size and number of units for each SKU. See our "Warehousing" page for more information about that.

REAL TIME INVENTORY UPDATES

We use barcode and scanning systems in our warehouses. As soon as your inventory comes in or goes out, you'll receive a notification.

With our Direct Connect service, your inventory levels update in real time. You can check your inventory at any time from your Member page (coming soon!)

PRICE OF INVENTORY INTAKE

Inventory Intake is priced per unit*. The price depends on your Membership Plan.

Inventory Intake fees are charged at the same time as your Member Plan.

*box inserts like stickers, postcards, business cards, and fliers are entirely free to Inventory Intake. If you're not sure what constitutes a 'box insert', please don't hesitate to message us

(optional) DDU Service

When your shipment arrives, if there are any import duties and/or delivery fees that still need to be paid we can handle them on your behalf! This is our DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid) service, and no matter what Member Plan you have, it's the same price!

DDU service fees and any import duties and/or delivery fees paid are charged at the same time as your Member Plan.

SPECIAL HANDLING

Some inventory might need special handling.

When you fill out the "Incoming Inventory! -notification form" you can tell us if your inventory has any special handling requirements, or if there's a certain way you would prefer we handle it.
